We’ve all heard the phrase: We are what we eat. And we’ve all heard: “Let Thy Food Be Thy Medicine And Let Thy Medicine By Thy Food” – Hippocrates was a wise man. When we eat beautiful, cell-nourishing fuel and keep out toxicity, we’ll have a strong immune system and grow healthy cells. Conversely, if we load of up with toxic foods or rather toxic stuff, then our cells will be unhealthy and they’ll deteriorate fast.
I’d like to go one step further.
We are what we absorb. Our gut is the building ground for our health – for inflammation, for immune health, for cell health, for everything. When our gut is out of balance, or if it is being harmed by toxicity, this is when we suffer. We must have a healthy gut, and a healthy microbiome to be healthy, and vital, and to feed our body at the celullar level. It has been proven to be absolute, that the gut is the center focus for ultimate health and vitality. Most of us are focused only on macronutrients – proteins, fats and carbs. Focus more attention on micronutrients – vitamins and minerals, live enzymes. Particularly from plant-based foods. These fuel our body at the cellular level, keep inflammation down, ramp up the immune system, have our skin looking great and our cells vibrant.
