Healing Is Voltage – Dr Jerry Tennant

Healing Is Voltage – Teeth, Toxins, Trauma and the Electric Body

Most of us have heard of the mind-body connection. Very few of us can explain how it actually works.

We know stress makes us sick. We know grief sits heavy in the chest. We know a shock can change someone’s health overnight. But the mechanism has always stayed vague, filed somewhere between “it’s all connected” and “it’s just psychosomatic.”

Dr. Jerry Tennant offers something far more concrete. In his talk Healing Is Voltage: The Physics of Emotions, he lays out a model where emotions aren’t abstract feelings floating in the mind. They’re physical events, stored in and around the body as magnetic fields, and they interrupt the electrical supply our organs depend on to function and repair.

It’s one of the clearest bridges between emotional healing and physical healing we’ve come across. Here’s why it matters.

A Doctor Who Had to Heal Himself

Tennant wasn’t always a voltage man. He was a highly successful ophthalmologist and eye surgeon, a pioneer in his field. Then he became seriously ill with encephalitis, and the conventional system had nothing left to offer him.

So he did what most patients never get the chance to do. He went back to first principles and asked a simple question: what does a single cell actually need to work properly?

His answer reshaped his life and his practice. The body, he concluded, doesn’t run on chemistry alone. It runs on electricity.

Every Cell Is a Battery

This is the foundation of Tennant’s work. Each of our cells holds an electrical charge, measured in millivolts. In his framework, a healthy cell runs at around -20 to -25 millivolts. When the body needs to heal, to build new cells and repair damage, it needs to raise that to around -50 millivolts.

That’s the key insight. Healing isn’t something that simply happens. It requires energy, and specifically, it requires voltage.

When we have enough of it, along with the raw materials to build new cells, the body can do remarkable things. When we don’t, healing stalls. An injury that should resolve becomes chronic. Fatigue settles in. Tissues lose oxygen. Tennant describes chronic disease, at its root, as a healing process that never had enough charge to finish.

This reframes symptoms entirely. They’re not random malfunctions. They’re signals of an energy deficit.

The Body’s Battery Packs and Wiring

Here’s where the talk goes deeper than most voltage discussions.

Tennant describes our muscles as battery packs. Each group of muscles stores and supplies voltage to specific organs. Those packs are linked through a wiring system, and he maps that wiring onto the meridians described in Traditional Chinese Medicine, with fascia acting as the conductive tissue that carries current through the body.

It’s a striking idea. The meridians that acupuncturists have worked with for thousands of years become, in this model, the body’s electrical circuits. Ancient wisdom and modern physics describing the same thing in different languages.

When a battery pack is charged and the wiring is clear, the organ downstream gets the power it needs. When the pack drains or the wiring is interrupted, the organ starts running on empty.

Where Emotions Come In

This is the heart of the talk.

Tennant proposes that unresolved emotions, particularly traumatic ones, are stored as magnetic fields. These fields don’t just create the familiar biochemical stress response. They physically block the flow of voltage through the associated battery packs.

Think about what that means. A grief we never processed, a shock we buried, a fear that took root years ago, could be sitting in a specific part of the body, quietly blocking the current to an organ. The organ isn’t broken. It’s simply not getting charged.

This is why emotional healing and physical healing can’t be separated. If the emotion is still holding the charge, we can feed the body perfect nutrition and still wonder why it won’t recover. The supply line is blocked.

He discusses PTSD in this light, and it offers a powerful explanation for why trauma so often shows up years later as physical illness.

Teeth as Circuit Breakers

One of the more surprising sections covers dental health. Tennant describes teeth as circuit breakers sitting on the meridians. Each tooth connects to specific organs and battery packs.

A problem tooth, whether through infection, a root canal, or other dental work, can interrupt an entire circuit. That could mean an organ far from the mouth losing voltage with no obvious reason why.

For anyone who’s spent years chasing a chronic symptom without answers, this is worth sitting with. The root cause may be somewhere nobody thought to look.

Low Voltage, Pathogens and Disease

Tennant also connects low voltage to the conditions that allow disease to flourish. Low charge means low oxygen in the tissues, and low-oxygen environments are where pathogens thrive and where cells shift into less efficient ways of producing energy. He extends this thinking to cancer, describing it as a low-voltage state.

Whatever we make of every detail, the principle is empowering. If disease follows a loss of charge, then restoring charge becomes part of the path back.

How We Recharge

The good news is that voltage can be restored. Tennant’s talk covers the ways we charge our batteries, and many of them are beautifully simple: movement, sunlight, good nutrition, clean water, and contact with the earth. Clearing the blockages matters just as much, whether that’s dealing with problem teeth or releasing stored emotions.

On that last point, he discusses how magnetic fields and scalar energy can be used to erase emotional charge, leaving behind the memory without the disruption to our physiology. We still remember what happened. It just stops draining us.

Why This Matters for Us

For those of us drawn to root-cause healing, Tennant’s framework ties together threads we’ve often held separately. Nutrition, nervous system regulation, emotional release, grounding, dental health and energy medicine all become part of one system: keeping our batteries charged and our circuits clear.

It also hands power back to us. We’re not passive recipients of disease. We’re electrical beings who can learn to recharge.

The questions worth asking become clearer. Where is our energy leaking? What emotion might still be holding a charge? Which circuit hasn’t been getting power?

The body is intelligent. Given enough voltage and the right raw materials, it knows how to heal.
