HIGHLIGHTS
Discussion Part on * Dr Joe Dispenser’s Powerful Retreats | 0:21:05 – 0:23:18 (133 Seconds)
0:21:05 Neil Cannon (to set the scene)
I would say one of my biggest takeaways from the first Dr Joe Dispenza retreat was I felt like my heart burst wide open. And I was thinking, even at the beginning of it I was going why doesn’t everyone know this already? …..I fell in love with my heart and I fell in love with life, with humanity and what we’re capable of. Witnessing so many people reverse the most incurable of illnesses according to one form of medicine. I met someone on the first retreat in June last year who reversed blindness. She’s from Brighton in the UK, my university hometown, and they provided the data for the iris scans beforehand and after the meditation retreat and the doctor could not believe what they were witnessing…
….So when Joe Dispenser is showing us the data what happens in the biomarkers, what happens in the blood? What happens when he’s comparing novice meditators with advanced meditators, and the rapid change in thousands of metabolites and immune markers and lots of long words that I can’t remember the name of, but I remember there being over 2000 or something there’s new information that appears in the blood over seven days.

* Uncovering Emotional Addiction and Self-Sabotage | 0:25:15 – 0:26:27 (73 Seconds)
0:25:15 Lianna Neilson
And then I was telling this to you and I am happy that I and I will continue to stick with the work. And I’m happy that I did because it wasn’t until but I guess, last summer that I uncovered the other big emotional addiction for me, which was this feeling of longing and sadness and separation and always looking for a reason. Whenever I felt too happy or too content, I would always find myself…it feels like I don’t know what it feels like to you. But when I started to pay attention to emotional addiction, it feels like my body pulls me into this other state where, you feel really happy, all of a sudden. I’m physically… almost… melting into this other thing and I’m like what’s the point?
0:25:53 Neil Cannon
It’s that big leap. Have you read the big leap?
0:25:56 Lianna Neilson
No, I know the book actually.
0:25:58 Neil Cannon
We will do whatever we can to sabotage Once we’re about to get through that level. We’re about to expand into a new level of mind, a new level of consciousness, a new level of being, and we sabotage and we bring ourselves back down again because it’s uncomfortable being in the unknown.
0:26:15 Lianna Neilson
Right.
0:26:16 Neil Cannon
So we will normally unconsciously bring ourselves back to the known. And there’s that body, that’s the subconscious mind again, that will do whatever it can to bring us back.
0:26:26 Lianna Neilson
Yeah, and so.

* Healing and Self-Improvement Transformational Power | 0:34:12 – 0:35:38 (85 Seconds)
0:34:12 Neil Cannon
The people you meet at these events are well, they, they I don’t like saying it, but like, minded and they’re. They’re all seeking and uh, filling their cup up, filling, doing whatever they can to improve themselves, to give more elsewhere. They say if, if we don’t love ourselves, what love do we have to give? so many cliches but it’s um, it shows. And being in that room, as you said, I’m sometimes I’m thinking am I levitating? Like I felt so light and just energised I, after the first week I thought if I did have an illness it would have been, it would have, would have gone. That’s how it felt and the coherence healings, my goodness.
0:35:04 Lianna Neilson
I mean that’s that’s. That’s what I’m talking about that for a second well, and it’s so funny because, like I didn’t well a or no one’s paying us, although maybe Dr. Joe should be but, uh, I was, I did not grow up a spiritual person. I did not grow up my parent, my dad, was, you know, a scientist and a doctor and, like my parents, were not religious and I didn’t grow up with any of that. And it was in my healing journey when I, you know, started to heal my body and find meditation, that I started opening myself up.

* Meditation | 0:43:16 – 0:45:40 (143 Seconds)
0:43:16 Neil Cannon
But the point was the I was trying to make a link between what I’d experienced growing up and meditation. You know there’s there’s so much science now showing what happens in the body when we experience love and we can get that right here it’s here all the time accessible to us it.
0:43:39 Lianna Neilson
It really is. It really is meditation. Whenever I, you know, I do a fair amount of like, writing articles for whatever websites and all and whenever I get interviewed and someone’s like what’s the one health advice you would give, like what’s the one thing everyone could do to be healthier, and I always say meditate. And it doesn’t have to be Dr Joe, it can be anything, because it is really the one thing that is, you know, like lowers your blood pressure and blood sugar, it’s anti-aging on a cellular level, it’s good for stress, it’s good for gut health, but also it changes your relationship to your brain and your thoughts and your body and shows you how you can access and get into your heart space and elevate them.
You know, I mean like it’s just the one thing that is free, is absolutely free, that you can do that is not only going to change your physical body and, you know, improve your health, but also change your relationship to yourself. And, again, like we just have so much more control over how healthy and happy we are than we think we do. Like obviously we don’t have life is life and you know horrible things are always going to happen, but like we always have control over how we show up and respond and how we act and like that’s where people I think you know, and I’m sure you find this as well like people come to me and their life is not great or they don’t feel good in their bodies and and they’re just on all of these autopilot programs that you know came out of childhood or you know cultural programming, and it’s just really interesting because I feel like the longer I’m in this space right, it started with food for mental health and physical health and and getting people like performing better and in their bodies but the longer I’m in this space, the more it’s just empowering people to connect more deeply to themselves, to learn how to listen and to just, like you know, go against what everyone else is doing and understanding that like they’re the only ones that know and there is so much innate and beautiful wisdom inside of them that they can access that will create the lives that they’re looking for.
